75144 Snowspeeder Is Retiring Sooner Than Expected
LEGO Online Shop US has marked 75144 Snowspeeder as “Retiring Soon”. This may surprise a lot of fans that this set will be retired so soon. Usually, the lifespans of Ultimate Collector Series sets having lifespans of between 2.5 and 3 years. The most recent examples being 75095 TIE Fighter, 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter (UCS) and 10236 Ewok Village. However, LEGO released 75144 Snowspeeder in May 2017 and it only available for a little over one year. Much shorter than other sets in the series. Interested collectors and investors may want to pick this one up before it’s too late.
A shock to see this go so soon, but clearly a poor seller. Too much Lego SW at moment.

We are surprised too. This set will retire while the older sets: 75060 Slave I and 75159 Death Star are still available. With the Star Wars Episode IX coming out next year, there will be more SW sets coming.

I just bought this set from Lego.Com. it’s on sale, $40 off. It hasn’t been retired yet but it could be retiring soon sometime in 2019.
