The LEGO rendition of the iconic 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a true masterpiece. Will The Porsche 911 GT3 retire this year?

As history suggested, LEGO Technic sets usually have an average of 1.5 to 2.5 year lifespan. Example like 42039 24 Hours Race Car (August 15 – December 16) and 42041 Race Truck (January 15 – November 16). Originally released in July 2016, 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be released for more than 1.5 year. LEGO is preparing to announce the new 42082 Bugatti Chiron set and this set will be coming out this year. Therefore this is possible that LEGO retires Porsche 911 GT3 this year to make way for the new sets.

    The Bugatti, 2+ year shelf life, and missing from Summer Catalog all point to retirement to me but of course that’s just me. Either way only time will tell 🙂

  2. And it’s being heavily reduced so I’m going for retiring towards end of year
